A mountain lodge set on the shores of an alpine dammed lake at an elevation of 2,300 meters.

The serene waters of Hakuba Oike Lake are home to the rare black salamander, so hikers may be lucky enough to spot one. Around Raichozaka, true to its name, you may occasionally encounter raichos (ptarmigans), all while surrounded by rich, beautiful nature.

Dormitory Room

The room has a traditional mountain hut atmosphere. One of the best parts of staying in a mountain hut is to chat with other hikers at the dormitory room.

Campsite

Camping in a tent is a luxurious experience where you can have the silence and starry sky all to yourself in the middle of nature. Enjoy the fresh mountain air on the shores of Hakuba Oike Lake. The appeal is that you can travel at your own pace and fully experience a sense of accomplishment and a sense of the extraordinary.

Fees

  • Receive a student discount of JPY 3,000 by presenting a valid student card. (JPY 1,000 discount for camping)
    [Applicable to postgraduates, undergraduates, vocational school, high school and junior high school students. Not available during: Jul 19 to Aug 17, Sep 13~15, Sep 20~23, Oct 11~13, and school hiking trips]
  • An additional fee of JPY 3,000 will be charged for guest who stays without a prior reservation (JPY 2,000 for camping)
  • Camping fee: JPY 2,000 per person & JPY 2,000 per tent
    1 guest using 1 tent: 2,000 + 2,000 = JPY 4,000
    2 guests using 1 tent: 2,000 x 2 + 2,000 = JPY 6,000
  • Accommodation Plans:
    1 stay with 2 meals: JPY 15,000 (Adult) / JPY 9,500 (Elementary School Student)
    1 stay with dinner: JPY 13,500 (Adult) / JPY 8,000 (Elementary School Student)
    1stay with breakfast: JPY 12,500 (Adult) / JPY 7,000 (Elementary School Student)
    1 stay without meals: JPY 11,000 (Adult) / JPY 5,500 (Elementary School Student)

Cancellation Policy

  • A cancellation fee will be charged according to the following conditions:
    • No-show: 100% of the accommodation fee
    • On the day of stay: 30% of the accommodation fee
    • After 16:00 on the day before: 30% of the accommodation fee
    • Before 16:00 on the day before: No charge
  • The cancellation fee applies to both the basic accommodation fee and the private room fee. Student discounts are not applicable.
  • Even in cases of cancellation due to bad weather or physical condition, cancellation fees will be charged. However, please prioritize your safety and avoid unsafe hiking.
  • If you are required to change your plans and stay at another mountain hut within our group, no cancellation fee will be charged; however, an additional fee of JPY 2,000 will apply.
  • No cancellation fee will be charged in the following cases:
    • If a special warning or weather alert is issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency for the area on the day of your stay.

    • If you are physically unable to reach the mountain hut on the day of your stay due to road closures or similar circumstances.

We offer a variety of items including drinks, trail snacks, instant noodles, and original goods such as badges, tenugui hand towels, and T-shirts.
For campers and hikers passing through, there is also a shop located on the dining hall side for non-staying guests. Please feel free to stop by.
